• Combine 1 cup Baking soda and 15-20 Drops Essential oil in the lidded container. Tighten the lid and shake to disperse the oil throughout the baking soda.

Regular Use

• Sprinkle the mixture over your carpet. Let it sit for one hour, and then vacuum it up.

Non-Greasy Stains

• Generously sprinkle the mixture over the stain.
• Wet a paper towel or washcloth so that it is damp, but not dripping wet. Lay this over the baking soda.
• Let it sit for at least three hours, overnight is even better.
• Remove the towel and vacuum up the baking soda.
• Repeat as neccessary until the stain is no longer there.

Greasy Stains

• Sprinkle the mixture over the stain and let it sit overnight to absorb as much of the oil as possible, and then vacuum it up.

Storage

• Store in an airtight container, exposure to air will reduce the odor-absorbing power of the baking soda and the potency of the essential oil(s) will diminish otherwise.
